In September 2020 I bought a batch of long-expired medium format films on eBay. The batch included 14 rolls of B&W, Color, and Slide Film. I paid 45 €, so around 3.2 € per roll. This batch also included the roll of HP4 I showed you a while back.

One roll I was very curious to see the results was this roll of Kodak Ektachrome 160T. This particular roll expired in 1979 (42 years ago)! I decided to shoot this special roll at night in Heidelberg.

Since I heard a lot of bad things about expired Slide Film I honestly expected to get a blank roll back from the lab... BUT luckily this wasn't the case!

All the frames came out really nice! They all have this very special faded and desaturated look. Especially the blacks are basically completely washed out. I like this special look in combination with the evening mood.

All the shots were taken with my Rolleicord V 6x6 TLR Camera.

Since I wasn't really sure about how to meter, I tried a few things out to make sure to get at least one decent frame. After seeing the results, this was quite a waste of film, since all of the exposures came out nicely and you can't really see a big difference.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed the results as much as I did!
