ILFORD HP4 expired in 1979

The following shots are kind of special for me. They were taken with an expired roll of ILFORD HP4 and I think they turned out absolutely gorgeous! I used a Rolleicord V for shooting this roll.

According to Wikipedia, HP4 has been made between 1965 and 1989. The film roll I used expired in 1979. That's 14 years before I was even born 🤯🤯🤯.

I overexposed the shots between one and two stops depending on the scene. I am absolutely impressed by the results of a roll which expired more than 40 years ago! I developed the roll at home with Kodak HC-110 identical as HP5+.
